Random Stuff...

I have some photos that are really fun, but that don't really fit into the flow of other posts.  So, I thought I would just throw them all in 1 post and just say...enjoy!!

A cool broom I saw while walking along in Alba (in the Piedmont area/north of Italy).  All handmade and woven.

This is the carousel from Alba.  I just love the ornateness of it, but thought it was super-funny that there were many paintings on the underside of scantily-clad or topless curvy women.  Vive Italia!!

Toys for sale around the carousel in Alba.  These were kind of little push toys that had ball-popping features and looked like there might be candy in the handle too.  A toy and a sweet snack...not a bad combo for a little kiddo!!

Candies available by the carousel in Alba.  The white-ish, speckled candy is nougat, which is very popular in northern Italy.

The signage on the back of the Scoulabus (school bus) to watch out for kids running.  I liked how happy they looked with their bags and her ponytail.  :)

This is the 'dress code' sign that we have seen all over Italy before going into Cathedrals, etc.  I love that the examples on top seem to be wearing gym clothing.

I though this little dinosaur was really cute, especially with his backpack and sleeping roll in place.

Pooh (sort of) and Nemo were hanging out together in d'Orta.  Couldn't quite figure out how one would bring this item home and why?!?!

This photo is for Amy.  It reminded me of Vietnam.  Ahhh...the Sweet Years!!

I think this one is self-explanatory.  ;)

Leah though this sign applied to Olivia (her dog).  Kind of looks like her too.

Leah and Patrizia cracking open hazelnut shells for a lovely hazelnut cake Patrizia made all of us for breakfast the next morning.

Persimmon tree in the front yard of 5 Chimneys B&B.  Their orange-y/peach color was so beautiful.

This was a sculpture of various heads/faces located in a building called 'Grandmama' in Turino.  This building was for the Queen Mother of Italy (aka 'Grandmama').  Interesting sculpture!

This was located in a pizzeria in Turino.  I saw this and Leah took the photo.  Love it!!!

Not a great photo ~ too much glare.  Nonetheless, it's a Porsche hat!!  Love it!!

Love this sign which is found on all trains, saying 'do not get on or get off during the closing of the doors'.  Um...thanks for the warning.

Like I said...truly random stuff, but all kind of fun and interesting.  Hope all is well and we're off to have lunch soon.

xoxo
